Shops and Merchants
Shops are found at every location throughout the world map and may be visited at any time, unless there are Risen, a
Streetpass /
Spotpass team or a merchant currently spawned at the location.
Merchants
Merchants (also known as
Annas) will randomly appear and disappear on the map, even while the game is not being played. Players may go from having a set of merchants one day, to having them all disappear and be replaced with an entirely new set on the next. Additionally, merchants may also be summoned to the player's current location on the world map using a
Rift Door.
When a merchant appears or is summoned, she will host a shop in place of the location's usual shop. She will sell any items found at that location along with three additional items, which include discounted or rare items. These items are limited to one each and the items chosen vary by location. (A list of all merchant items can be found further down this page, including the list of possible rare items as well.)
Aside from leaving after a certain time frame, merchants will also disappear after any transactions occur at their location, including the buying or selling of items. It is recommended to avoid using a merchant to sell your items if you don't want them to disappear yet.
Sometimes, a merchant may spawn along with a group of Risen. When this occurs, the player must defeat the Risen while protecting the merchant before they will be able to purchase any of her items; the merchant will reward successful players with an item.
Rare Items
Occasionally when a merchant spawns or is summoned, she will sell a rare item. If this happens, one of the items below will be chosen randomly:
Hammerne
Seraph Robe
Energy Drop
Spirit Dust
Secret Book
Speedwing
Goddess Icon
Dracoshield
Talisman
Arms Scroll
Streetpass / Spotpass
Any items found in the inventory of a
Streetpass /
Spotpass team may be purchased, excluding special items and legendary weapons. As with merchants, exchanging any items with a team will cause it to disppear afterwards.
