Fire Emblem Awakening

Fire Emblem: Kakusei

The world is ruled by the Divine Dragon, Naga, and the Fell Dragon, Grima. Naga holds a fondness for humans, while Grima is her opposite, the destroyer of humans. Together, these two create a balance of power that has held the world together for eons.

Players take up the role of a Tactician, fighting alongside the young Prince Chrom of Ylisse and his band of Shepherds, his personal militia. The story begins with the player's Tactician joining Chrom's army and accompanying them in their travels while providing battle tactics and strategies.

Chrom and his Shepherds soon come across a new threat known as the Risen, undead soldiers of unknown origin that are plaguing the land. A mysterious warrior hailing by the name of the legendary Hero King Marth has appeared, wielding a second Falchion, a legendary blade which Chrom already possesses and therefore should not exist.

The Tactician fights alongside Chrom and his Shepherds, slowly realizing that this uprising has something to do with the neighboring land of Plegia, worshippers of the Fell Dragon. Will this conflict be the end of the world, or will Chrom be able to stop the spread of evil before more lives are lost?

Fire Emblem Awakening is the first game in the Fire Emblem series featuring the customizable Avatar (first introduced in Fire Emblem: Heroes of Light and Shadow) to be released worldwide. The player assumes the role of the Avatar and has a major part in the story and plot of the game, as such the player is given control over the Avatar's appearance, voice and decisions.

The game takes place around 3,000 years after the events of Fire Emblem: Mystery of the Emblem / Fire Emblem: Heroes of Light and Shadow.
